Workshop at Plymouth Arts Centre

In the end of August we had the opportunity to give a workshop at the Plymouth Arts Centre. As part of Freesound‘s Sonic Summer School we enjoyed to hold the workshop:

Transmission + Interference

Transmission and interference will be explored using devices that transmit audio through laser light using hacked laser pointers. There will be an introduction to these devices followed by the construction of an interactive installation in which the participants will build a network that remixes the sonic space of the Arts Centre. Built into this installation will be playful forms of interference that also allow for audience participation. The aim is for the installation to stay up in the gallery after the workshop for a period of time where the public can experience it.
